Unclear about her birthplace if she swaps it about between Kent and Sussex.

Possibly born to an unmarried mother who married a Warner but all speculation I'm afraid.

Can only suggest marriage number 2 in case any details are of use.

Yes will order that one but thank you so much for your insight.

I did wonder if she made up the fathers name, and is she still a Warner!??

There are baptisms around 1824 in Erith Kent (sorry don't know that area) with father Robert Warner mother Hannah in case they are relevant.

Charles 1825
Joseph 1823
George 1827
Frederick ?
Unnamed ?
Perhaps she made up a fathers name.  Are the marriage witnesses any help?

As she remarried that marriage certificate might be of use if you don't have it.

No she was a Spinster at the time of marriage and witnesses were no help.  But good idea.
I will check the Erith Kent ones out not sure if it is in right area or not.
Thank you

Family History Beginners Board / Henrietta Maria Warner

Please could anyone help me find the Baptism/christening of Henrietta (Maria possible second name) Warner.
she was born abt 1824 in either Hastings, Sussex or Folkestone, Kent.  On some census she has listed Folkestone as her birth and in others Hastings.
Father is Robert Warner according to the Marriage Index.  A Labourer
In 1841 she was in Folkestone and a Servant.  It states she was born in Kent.
1845 marries James Scutt in Dover (14 Dec 1945)
1851 lists Hastings as birth
1861 Folkestone as birth
James dies in 1866
1971 lists Folkestone as birth.
Marries Henry Francis in 1871
1881 lists Hastings again
Dies on 8 April 1892 in Knockholt Kent.
I do not know who her mother is either.  Cannot trace a Robert Warner.
Many thanks

No luck with Henry as yet but the who do you think you are episode featuring Napsbury was Julian Clary so you may wish to watch that for background information.

Yes I will,

1911 possible under

Frances Jaques Arnott 17 servant

The family is Arnott - James, Gladys, Marjorie, Doris so possibly an error adding it to her name

Yes it is, on copy states Frances Jaques.
Brilliant thanks
Now just need Henry

Where was he born and who were his parents?

Did he have siblings he could perhaps be living with in 1911

He was born in North Finchley on 8 Nov 1889.  Father was Henry Jaques a Painter.  Mother was Sarah Ann Jaques nee Cousins.
I thought I had found all sisters in 1911 census but just looked again and cannot find Frances Abina Jaques born 1893.  In 1921 she was a Servant at Roedean Girls School in Rottingdean, Brighton.  Tried all spellings of her name but nothing at moment.
