Well looks like I may now have found how to reply to you all. All the excellent information you have sent me is of great interest. Yes I have found a lot more about my family through your help ! looking for relatives of the Gare family related to Hilda Maud Gare [married to Geo L. S. Powell ] she had a sisters Florence and Mable . also her parents were William Hays Gare and Hester Ann Gare nee Rainham .their parents were John and Isobel Gare [nee Russell; they all came from Weatherstones/Waipori areas. Believe florence married an Albert W. Murray and had 3 children and Mabel married an M.P. Davies. Also looking for photos of Hilda Maud Powell nee Gare my mother. Any help appreciated . looking for any info re; Mary Violet Gare nee Rees ; known to have sailed to Australia on the Wanganella on the 28th. Oct, 1960; Married in 1934 she divorced her husband Harold James Gare on the 1/11/1957. in New Zealand. seems to have just dissapeared. any help appreciated , Owen Powell nephew .

I am trying to find the parents of Elizabeth Jane Whitfield.b. April 1884 Maitland n.s.w. ? and believe she may have died in new zealand, about 1916 Her husband was Henry B. Martin Rainham ,died at Talboys Benevolent Hospital ? n .z ? about 1919; Thay ahd a daughter Hester Ann F.

John Gare b . jan 1843, d. 1918 and was married to Isobella Russell b1852 d 1893 and burried at Waipori cemetry; I have a place of Cumberland as a maybe place of birth, ??
