No it wasn't one of the garden parties.
It was to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the founding of St Dunstan's

I too had the feeling that it might be impossible for me to find out but thought it was worth having a look to see if I could find out.

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Meeting the queen
« on: Tuesday 19 August 25 18:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi

Is there anyone that could answer my question.
Whilst going through my grandparents belongings I found a letter of my Gr Aunt telling my grandparents she was going to meet the queen. I also have a copy of the invite sent to my gr aunt asking her to attend a event at Buckingham Palace.
At the time my gr Aunt was 85yrs old and sadly passed away very shortly after the event date.
Does anyone know away I might be able to find out if she was able to attended the event? The event was held in May 2000
I have contacted the charity she was involved with to see if they could help me but sadly the only record they have of the event was a newsletter and the pictures in the newsletter did not show my Aunt.
In her letter that she wrote to my grandparents she was so excited to have been asked to meet the queen I would love to find out if she did meet her.

Thank you all for taking time to read my post.
Wish you all a lovely day
