Hi Marco, it is Hobby Horse who was enquiring about John Troke, and I put them in touch with each other as I have known John for many years, I don't know what the outcome was but you may be better off contacting Hobby Horse, I know that they were contacting each other but that is all, for your information, John sold the shop which is now a Barbers, he still lives in Wick Lane Christchurch, but he is now in his late eighties, good luck.

Thank you kgerrard Trish Avm and Lizzel for all the really good finds on Millie. I know she died with the name Cooper, as with many women they keep the name of a deceased husband and partner.Traves was her maiden name and her mother came from Christchurch which was in Hampshire at that time.I lived in Hampshire until recently but now live in Sussex,so it was a surprise to see she was born in Hants too.Perhaps now I can go back further after getting a good starting point from all of you, and thank you once again for your kindness.

Can anyone help me out with the Sackville West family I know they were a well known family in Brighton in the 19th century and there is a place named after them Sackville crescent near the sea front, so can I assume that is where they lived?I have visited Sackville Crescent but there is no indication of their residence, beautiful Georgian houses line the crescent it must have been a well to do area.Any history would be good.

Has anyone got any info on the Bethnal  green tube disaster in 1943 and the names of those that died I have found some general references but not much detail.

I am looking for a Millicent or Millie Traves her last address was in Penfold Rd. Worthing 1n the 1980s where she died, but I think she also lived in Southampton and Bournemouth over tme, Any leads would be great thanks.
