My 2xgrgrandmother, Margaret Moan Irwin, who was from Mowillan, Derrynoose, had a brother William who married an Elizabeth Pettigrew in Derrynoose in 1853.  After a few years, the Moans moved to Durham, England where William worked as a coalminer.

James Couser is also my ancestor.  Before he married Sarah Boyd, he was married to Margaret Barristal in 1826 and had a daughter named Margaret.  Margaret was my ancestress.  Margaret B. died at an unknown time but he was able to marry your Sarah.  I would really like to touch base with you.  Marge V.

My mother's mother's grandmother (my gggrandmother) was Margaret Couser.  She married Henry Greer in January 1864 in Co. Armagh.  Margaret's parents were James Couser and Margaret Barristal.  Margaret B. died (date unknown) and James married Sarah Boyd around 1846.

My Cotters lived in Gortnacarriga ("Field of the Rock") and Ballybane or Ballybawn in the 1840- 1850s.

My ancestors Ann Cronin and Cornelius Cotter married in March 1839 in Inchigeelah Parish.  They had at least 3 children--Cornelius (my ancestor), Jeremiah, and a daughter whose name I don't know.  Cornelius emigrated to Scotland, Jeremiah to the US, and the daughter stayed in Ireland.  They might have resided in Gortnacarriga and Ballybawn or Ballybane.
