Hi Paul,

Recently you did a lookup for me on a Williams Family in the Holywell region many thanks for that, I sent you a pm to say thanks but not sure that your received it.

Is there any chance i can be a little cheeky and ask you for a bit more help with the same family?

Im looking for the Birth / Bap of a Harriett Jones bn 1851/2 in Rhyl, Flintshire to a James Jones a Smith (blacksmith)

Harriett went on to marry Thomas Williams in 1873 in Holywell where she was then living.

Thanks for taking a look for me, let me know if it is one reqest too many!!!

Best Wishes

Tammy

Hi There,

Is this your Marsh Family in 1851

43 Broom Street, Ince, Wigan.

Ellen Marsh H Wid 48 Weaver Cotton,  Wigan
Jospeh Marsh son un 16 ass coal lab Wigan
Elizabeth Marsh dau un 14 cotton lab, Wigan
Ellen Marsh dau un 12 scholar, Wigan
Mary Rowbottam lodger wid 89, unemployed, Ormskirk

There are two Ellen Marsh's born in Wigan one in Jun 1838 the other Jun 1840 here are the BMD references for you

Ellen Marsh Jun 1838 Wigan Vol 21 page 757
or
Ellen Marsh Jun 1840 Wigan Vol 21 page 808

It might be worth trying to get one of these certificates stating Ellen as the mother and you'll have a better idea as to whether the mother had remarried or not.

Hope this bit helps any way

All the best

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Manchester Cathedral Parish Record Look Up Request
« on: Thursday 16 February 06 23:23 GMT (UK)  »
Hi There,

After a spectacular pc crash, i was wondering if some kind soul could look up a parish record for me.

The baptism was for a Samuel Higginbotham bap between 1805 and 1820 at Manchester Cathedral his father was Charles Higginbotham and mother Martha.

I know he was bap a few years after birth but cant remember the exact year. Any help would be greatly appreciated as he's not on the IGI and i'm stuck out here in AUS.

Many Thanks in Advance

Hi Paul,

I wonder if you are still so kindly doing lookups at the Flints Record Office.

I have a family of Williams's that are driving me mad, have spent the last 4 years on them and im still no further along. (im also in Australia so i cant get to the records centre myself! )

The information i have is

Thomas Williams bn 1851
Robert Williams bn 1841
and William Williams 1847

All born to a Thomas Williams and Mary ? in 1871/81/91 Mary is at New Quay holywell as a widow - but i cant find the family before then on the 1861 or prior. (son william 24 is there in 1871, son thomas 41 is there with her in 1891)

have tried to get roberts birth from gro three times but he's not down for 1841, 42, or 43 (there are robert williams' but none of them have thomas and mary for parents)

I really would appreciate any help with these guys if it is possible.

Thanks so much in advance

Tammy
