Thank you to both of you for your help. That is the correct James Joseph Nolan death registration and now it will hopefully aid me in my search for my husbands family tree.

Family History Beginners Board / starting the family tree.

I am looking for help trying to research my husband s family tree. His father was Irish and died in 1979 in Sheffield. My husband was only 18 at the time and cannot remember very much about his fathers side of the family. As a young boy my husband went over to Ireland with his father to visit his grandma. I have very little information and would grateful if anyone has any information or suggestions I would be very grateful. Information I have: his father was called James Joseph Nolan died 1979, the grandma lived on Red Cow Lane, Dublin. James had a brother called Leo ( probably Leonard) Nolan, sisters Kath and Peggy. My husband remembers he had cousins called Brendan Nolan and John Nolan also a sister to this boy's but we don't have a name. My husband thinks his cousins would have been a similar age to himself so born late 1950s- early 1960s. Thanks
