Blimey, so many Enoch Goddards in my family. You have probably been looking at my tree on Ancestry Goddard/Pickard. Enoch Joseph Goddard was my 3rd great grandfather and Enoch Goddard my 4th. Im going to go over the data again and try and tie up all the information you good people have given me.

thank you  :)

Hi,

Thankyou all for your input. My research has come purely from Ancestry. I do believe that they are true farther and son. I guess that this mystery will never be solved if there is nothing in the newspaper archives. Im wondering if they were miners and fell victim to an accident at the pit.

I have a mystery that i cannot solve, so any assistance would be welcome.

Enoch Goddard and his son Enoch Joseph Goddard both died on the same date 14th May 1834. This may have been the result of an accident, and i would like to know where i would search for the information of these deaths. They both lived in Nottingham at the time of death.

Thankyou both for the information.

How can I access records for employees working for the company? I can see on one photo some employees standing on the platform, it would be great to think one of them could have been Joseph Simpson.

Regards Sara

Im looking for information on the railway station in South Luffenham. The station doesnt exist anymore and the line removed. My Great Grandfather Joseph Alfred Simpson was the station master there in 1881.

Thankyou for the info Suzard and welsh lady.

I did wonder who Daniel shepherd was to the family, as it states lodger on the census. i will definitely follow up on that. The name Read can be spelt many different ways which doesn't help, but the birth record of Reid looks promising and i will look into it.

Thanks again.

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / William Read 1813
« on: Monday 27 October 14 11:46 GMT (UK)  »
Hope anyone can help.

Im looking for information on William Read born about 1813 in market Deeping. I have census records for 1851-1871, but cannot find a record for his birth, or his marriage to Ann, who i suspect he married about 1845-1850, as his first child was born in 1848. He was living in Radford, nottingham in the 1851 census onwards, but i have no record of his date or location of death.
