Biggles reply 9 regarding half sisters

Are they half sisters according to dna or common knowledge ? My 2C1R was told she had a different father because of her mother's affair but dna shows she IS descended from her legal father ...it was quite a surprise.

Re pedigree collapse ...my grandparents like many other people met at a wedding
Her cousin married his sister so of course their descendants have a higher match but on thru lines only one way may show and the match appears to be higher than expected .

You won't find the other line unless you add all your granparents cousins

This could be scenario for OP
& for many people in small communities

Especially as future weddings in  these families other in laws will meet

My favourite Scottish Old maid song
Starts
Och I've often heard it said by my mother & my father
That the going to the wedding is the making of another

I've anglicised the words ...maybe someone can find the original.

Gosh thats interesting David
About reverse predictions
What's the significance  of 9 in reply 3 ?.
9.what ??

I m.revising this particular story but good to know in general.
If both Kwaw & ES are grandchildren of Clement but different mothers

434 cm is also within  range for half cousins.

Always good to have your input Biggles
Funny thing is I have pro tools til 17th Nov but my account lapsed 5th Nov so can still see matches amounts and if there are thru. Lines can see common ancestors but not the actually thru lines & can't see the matches tree

I.intend to renew with price saving method & hope to make use of the free military records access this week

& I will start at new pro tools on my other account as I.manage different people's dna on there

What's a reverse predictable relationship??

I'd got it wrong & ES is a great granddaughter of Clement

KW his grandchild so they are cousins once removed

Now I have to find a descendant of Gerald to confirm or disprove this theory

7
Ethnicity also helps confirm relationships

This is the story
Of the family

All 3 match descendants of JBE
Parents and of maternal grandparents
So the generational links are strong

9
 JBE had 3 children
Gerald   Dorothy & Clement

Dorothy was a legitimate child half sister to Gerald who may have been from a first wife  & half sister to  Clement whose mother s name is known

 I think  G & C  were full brothers

Can protools comparing their descendants
Reinforce this theory

KW is grandson of Clement  according to his tree

VO is ggdaughter of  Dorothy ( maybe )

ES is from   Gerald not sure where she fits
Probably great granddaughter # modify .this is wrong she's great granddaughter of Clement so I'm going to have to rewrite

Kw matches VO 125 cm ancestry predicts 2C 1R

Matches ES 434 cm ancestry predicts 1C 1R

Es matches VO 38cm predicted half 3C1R

Do those figures fit the possibilities
