Sherryl,

My last contact with Fred was a few months ago. I hope he is ok.

My line connects with the Samuel/Sophie Raworth line with Issac born c 1720, so not very close really. I was a bit disappointed the progm didn't explain the children's return to England or what happened to William who stayed in USA. I did tell the BBC the story.

I do know something of William. I can't recall what info we have exchanged but William was swindled out of the inheritance from his parents by the Executor of their estate. William wrote to Robert about his dire financial circumstances. I have the letter.
William ended up marrying an Irish girl and having 2 daughter. He split from his wife and, I think, died in Pennsylvania at a fairly young age (I wonder whether this was suicide). This does need more research though. The children lived with their mat grandmother. Their mother remarried I think. Gran then died and the 2 young teenagers had to fend for themselves in NY. They went from house to house doing sewing to earn a little money. If ever I get the time and enough info id like to see whether there is enough of a story to write a book.
You may know Robert raised Julius and Jemima. After his wife died he married Jemima his niece/adopted daughter ( unsure if formally adopted) and they had son Mentor. Oops!
Sophie has promised me copies of the info the BBC gave her. She couldn't share these until after the progm was aired. I already have the letters the progm referred to. The BBC relied heavily on these. They are interesting. Have you seen them or would you like copies.nthey will take up a lot of data space on you computer, be warned!
Might be easier to email me direct. Mott_d_c    (At) yahoo.co.uk

Hi,

I see many mentions of A person called Fred who has masses of Mott family information. Is Fred still corresponding? If not does someone else have access to his Mott information? Hopefully it hasn't been lost. I have a lot of Mott information and would like to compare this with Fred's research.

I'd be grateful for any help or suggestions

Hi

I'm trying to find other Mott family trees and cross-link them to my own. Are you able to help at all. Are you interested in my tree?

Ok. My first day. Just joined up.

I have william Mott on my tree. Died NY 1795, yellow fever.  Married Martha barrowcliffe also died 1795 yellow fever. They had 6 children, William, Samuel, Jemma, Julius Ceasar, Martha and Mary. Lots more information on their descendants. Do you want the Mott tree? Have you got a Mott tree you could send me?

Could be this Francis Owen Mott but in 1928 he would have been aged 53 not 55. If in transit is there any way of knowing where he was going?
Thanks

It isn't the Earnest Matt/Mott family, but thanks anyway

I have the birth, in Wandsworth in 1913 but where did he live his life and did he /does he have children or grandchildren somewhere?

HiSandra

Not sure which uncle but probably either George W Mott b 1871, Francis Owen Mott b 1875 or Charles alphonso Mott b 1877  m Ann Triblock.

I'm unsure when they emigrated. Another of the siblings, Augustus G Mott emigrated to Australia.

Many thanks

David

Charles Mott was my uncle. His mother, Ionia Goodman, died soon after his birth and he was adopted by his fathers brother. They emigrated from England. I would like to know about his family and to make contact with his children or grandchildren.
