Anyone connected to this couple? Augusta I believe was born in Germany in 1852( father Leopold Lutsky or similar spelling) and thereafter moved to Limerick, Ireland. She married there in 1872 to John Cummins and had children Adina Mary Cummins 1872 and Francis Cummins 1874. The family soon then moved to South Africa and were in Kingwilliamstown, Eastern Cape where I believe John Cummins died before 1879. In 1879 Augusta married one Michael Maloney, born about 1840 (Ireland?) and a sadler by trade. He died 1893 and she in 1937 and both interred in Main Cemetery, Kingwilliamstown. Any information or further direction appreciated.

Hoping to locate a second cousin - B A W M  born 195o's at Irvine Central Hospital, Ayrshire, younger son of Robert T M and Agnes C McDonald (nee Collins) then resident Prestwick, Ayrshire. Was studying for Priesthood but opted out. Thought now to be living in London.

Hi Yorkiedart. Ta again for contact. I am in Ayrshire, Scotland so not a chap on the door contact. Obviously I cannot put my e-mail contact on here as Administrator would rightly react to that. I do not know if mobile numbers are similarly censored? Any ideas?

Hi and thanks for prompt reply. I take it the grandfather mentioned is the depicted George Rusling who was an Engineman on the Jasper at time of her loss. My maternal uncle is at the rear with cap at back of head - he was Stoker, Matt Dempsey, He and George were two (2) of the eleven (11) men killed when she was torpedoed. George is buried at Bonfire Hill Cemetery and Matt in Dalmellington Cemetery, Ayrshire. Your partial picture is from an original that had eight (8) Engine Room crew depicted. I had correspondence with George's daughter (Newcastle Under Lyne from memory) a number of years ago re him and Jasper etc. Your friend and I should make some contact.

Hi. For various reasons I have just managed to pick this reply up. Sorry for delay. I am grateful to you. Your info about the possible Duggan connection has in fact rang a big bell!! The Catherine Doogan mentioned is in fact the daughter of a Thomas Doogan (Duggan, Dougan etc ?) and her mother was recorded as a Margaret McCann. It adds another piece to my jigsaw. I take it I can access the plan/drawing of the shared land mentioned?
