My great great grandfather william ferris lived in greenock but was born in 1856.
Ive seen a match to the same name and  date born in wiltshire. he may have been born elsewhere but he lived in greenock from a young age. my great grandmother, his daughter was born in port talbot, south wales and as far as i know the brother n sisters Amwere.

i have uploaded 3 pics. one of my g.g. grandparents william ferris and his wife possibly name oldest cgd margaret.

One pic is of the same william ferris and his wife with daughters catherine, margaret and mary hannah and mary hannahs oldest daughter margaret as a baby

one pic is of mary hannah jones (was ferris) william ferris' daughter

my great great grandfather was william ferris from greenock, inverclyde, scotland. He was my mothers mothers mothers father. he married margaret and had 4 or 5 kids margaret, catherine, mary hannah, william. Mary hannah was my great grandmother andh was born in south wales and i think the others sirieblings were too. She married mr saunders (thomas think)  and had 2 kids tom and margaret. when mary hannah remarried.
To edwin jones and had a further 8 children.
