Hey what fun they are!! I am off to the library in Grimsby today, about 80 miles to the east, where I am assured they have a photograph of T. Sylvester Stone. On 20th June, 1934, he inherited around £15,000 from the will of his sister Eugenie Bertuance Stone, widow of Sir George Doughty.
I would also like to know when the same man went to Canada and where exactly, we know his wife was in Canada in 1912.
arrival 12 Nov 1912, ship Makura, from Sydney, Australia to Vancouver Canadian Passenger Lists from Ancestry also Mavis Stone age 3 Anthony Stone age 7mths.
So any more than that would be helpful, eg when T Sylvester left the country.
It looks like you are on the right track and that will I downloaded with the name of Annie Theresa Fabiola on it is to with the same family. I am going to copy it all out then send it to you, then we can see what it actually says.
By the way that will is that from the same archive-I did see one from Bendigo there I'm sure. Which will are you talking about where have you seen it, the one with the fowls.
I have e-mailed the convent, but have done that before with no result, wonder if any other rootschatter has been in touch with the former convent now a school.
Keep searching!!
