Hello, Could anyone tell me where I can find information about the above lady who is my Great Great Grandmother, she was admitted to the Cheshire Parkside lunatic asylum and died there in 1893.I would like to know (if info does still exist) why she was taken there. by whom and how long she was there.. Her children were Thomas Emmanual Hopkinson and Elizabeth Mc Cormack (nee Hopkinson, her Son in law John is stated on Ann's death certificate. Ann is 'Widow' of James Bowker Hopkinson who went to New York on the ship China in 1873 and as far as we know did not return, if anyone knows what happened to him, did he die there if so of what? and what year or did he just disappear and make a new life for himself. I am really wanting to clear this unsolved mystery... which is quite sad. thanks
