Thanks for info - George and Mary 1911 census lived in 10 East cross Street: he was a plate riveter hold up and they had three children: George, Norman and Elizabeth Jane who was the mother of the friend whose family I am researching. I have not been able to find out more about the Dundalk connection but belong to an irish database and there seems to be a marriage of Michael (b1819) and Ann (Welch or Walsh) with father's Michael Murtagh and Pat Walsh (possible rather than proved). Also a Michael Murtagh appears with land in Griffins Valuation of Dundalk. If you have any other info or stories about the Murthas would be grateful...

I have an old family photo - I imagine c.1900 which is supposedly May Mills who married a Titterington (Dublin probably) does this ring any bells with anybody?

any help/advice appreciated - tracing a Francois Beuchen - UK census records from 1891 as variously both Aachen Germany and in belgium (French citizen). his father was Jean Beuchen no trace of him in the UK census so assume he did not emigrate to the UK...

Can anybody help with finding more about R J Fisher who had a seed and corn business in the 1920's/30's am researching for a friend and the area quoted was Hollinwood & Failsworth (Macclesfield was also mentioned)
