Kent Lookup Requests / Re: John Edmund Shrubb in Sheerness

Hi Linda
I only use Ancestry.co.uk on a pay per view basis so I cannot see member trees.
I had found death records for a John Shrubb for 1835 and 1839. Given that he is shown as a Millwright on John Edmund's marriage certificate and the census information you have I agree 1835 looks right.
My stepfather was related to Rebecca's second daughter Rebecca Elizabeth born in 1852. They cetainly didn't make things easy by using the same names.
Presumably you have seen this history of The Cannon PH in Brompton http://pubshistory.com/KentPubs/OldBrompton/Cannon.shtml
If I come across anything on John Shrubb I will let you know.
Best wishes
Richard Brown
