London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / SLAYMAKER/KEMP Help Please
« on: Monday 10 July 06 23:42 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to help my 75 year young mother trace her routes and need some help.
The  information that we are certain of is
Her mother - Louisa Adelaide was born 13/10/1911 in Town Road Edmonton, the Father id Charles Llewlyn Kemp(greengrocer) and mothers maiden name is Charlotte Slaymaker
I have tried to search for their Wedding certificate and although gone back as far as 1904 have turned a blank.
We think we may have found Charlotte in the 1891 census at Kings Head Inn in Chertsey age 3 with her Grandparents,  and possibly  the reference to her birth in Staines in 1887 but without the wedding certificate cannot be certain ...can anyone help please

Hello

Does anybody know or have any knowledge of where or what happened to Royal George Arms, Clayton Sussex as it was in the 1871 census. By 1881 it was known as Royal George Hotel. London Road Clayton, I believe that my great great great grandparents ran this pub and although i have tried searches on the internet for it I have turned up a blank if it is still around would like to visit.
Any information that anybody may have would be really appreciated , even if its an old photograph

Little Nell Thankyou I will definately look again at the SGRO everything points to the right information for Isabella as her marriage certificate definately states Broadstreet . I can't make out the address on her Birth certificate looks like West V???something Alloa??
On the SGRO when I looked up the  1891 census there are 2 entries for an Isabella Morrison which she would have been by then one aged 26 Alloa and one aged 24 Clackmannan both suprisingly married to a John Morrison which completly threw me the only way I could tell the right one was John by Johns profession as a miner and by the address of high street which is Johns address on the wedding certificate

Clackmannanshire / 1888/1866 look up help please
« on: Thursday 20 October 05 22:55 BST (UK)  »
GG grandparents-1888 John Morrison a miner formerly of High Street Clackmannan married Isabella Swanson a millworker from Broadstreet.
John's Father was Henry Morrison a shoemaker who according to marriage certificate was deceased and his mother was Marjory ne Snaddon also deceased .
I have managed to trace Isabella's birth certificate also in the Clackmannan County in May 1866 fathers name John Swanson cannot make out occupation and mothers name Janet ne Gray who were married 12th/?/ 1851
I have details of children born to John & Isabella from 1891 census & 1901 census: they are
Henry circa 1889
John circa 1890
Jessie 1891
May (mary) depending on which record you look at 1892.
I am trying to find more details for either side of the family either around this time or prior and have become stuck. Any help or advice really appreciated
