Quite lovely, Debi. Your color palette is natural and appealing. Thank you very much!!

Nicely done, Irene! Using a different color for the flower in her hair  and a darker shade on her ukulele against a light yellow dress draws the eye up to Aunti. Lovely work! Thank you

This is very well done, Pat. I like how you kept her facial expressions natural. The colorization of the shrubs also look natural. And purple for the dress! Yes, even with having too few pixels to work with, you've managed to keep my Aunti real. Thank you.

Thank you again everyone. Appreciate hearing everyone's thoughts and input.

John and Sarah married in 1897 and all 4 parents were alive at the time. If I were to guess as to whose image was on their pins, I'd say it was Sarah's grandmother who died in 1901.

With everyone's help, I can now say that our family does have a photo that, for me, bears some historical significance. This is the only mourning photo we have in the family. Pictures of deceased, yes. But up till now no mourning photo. Happy I am, indeed.

Thanks again!

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Colorization of Aunti Puanani

You guys are fabulous! After the wonderful surprise colorization from Trellisick, I suddenly feel a bit greedy but will refrain from making too many requests.

This is a photo of my Aunti Puanani, Hawaii, circa 1945. Sorry I do not have the original and know the bytes are small but am hoping to see if anyone can bring her to life with color and hope you'll have fun with it too.

Thank you for the reply. I do not have the original. This is a scanned copy of a family member's photo.
