There were 2no Convalescence homes in Deganwy.  The small one holdind about 20 patients was named Swinglehurst. I attended this one for 2 weeks in 1952 a second one was Plas Mariandir which held about 40 patients They were both run by the Manchester And Salford Hospital saturday Fund Both were extremely well run and the food was excellent A very happy time was had by all patients
