Thanks so much! great to hear from you. Wow, what a connection, but still great to have. If I dig anything out about the German aspect of the family, i will pass it on.

Penny, I am related to John Jacob as well, he was my GGG Grandfather.  His son Francis is my Great Great Grandfather, and his son Robert Driesen is my Great Grandfather. His son, John Driesen, was my Grandfather, and emigrated to Australia after WW2.  He had met my Nan in Australia when serving with the British army, and then returned to Aus once his service was finished and they were married. Their only child was my Mum, Louise Elizabeth Driesen.

Hi Pauline,

Francis Driesen and Elizabeth Keehner were my GGGG Grandparents.

My mother is Louise Elizabeth Driesen (maiden name), her father is John Driesen (emigrated from England to Australia after WW2 to marry my Nan, Audrey Joan Lovelock), His father was Robert Driesen, his father was Francis Driesen, his father was John Jacob Driesen and his father was Francis Diderich Driesen born in High Germany in 1781 and married to Elizabeth Keehner in 1812.

I am wanting to try and find anything prior to Francis Diderich Driesen. Have you found anything about his heritage other than the fact he was from High Germany?

Looks like we are related!

Georgina
