Well ! Hobby Horse, it sounds promising indeed.I will have to study all the names you have given me and use the latest ones such as Herbert Troke that John may well recall, possibly he might be his Grandfather it sounds likely dosent it.I will look in more detail at your email tonight and write down the appropriate names and then see if I can catch John at home tomorrow.
Hopefully you may well have a connection to John I cross my fingers for you it could be a good break through in your research I would be so glad if it is.One thing I will say about John is that he is a kind and gentle man and always chuckling everybody who knows him likes him indeed he is a bit of a character around Christchurch.I will do my best, email you tomorrow

Hi Hobby Horse,
John lives in Wick lane Christchurch,if you like I will try to contact him for you .He never married but I believe he had a sister, can you give me some names that he may know from his childhood circa 1930/1940 as he is in his eighties. His family ran a milk delivery round from the same address until John gave that up and converted the shop into a sweet shop for many years. If there is some way that I can establish if he is indeed a relative of yours please let me know ie a common connection of some sort that he would recognise.

Hi Daryl, marmaduke Worthy is one of my descendants without looking at my paperwork Re. his and Ann Toogoods marriage I believe they had two Children this I found on Free Reg.There were three Marmaduke Worthys the other two married  a grace Cuff 1719 she died in 1720 the other wed an Elizabeth Drayton in 1721.My problem with the three Marmadukes is , when Grace cuff died did this one marry either Ann Toogood or Elizabeth Drayton one of the three moved to Brockenhurst Hampshire and married in 1731.Also I can find no record of Ann toogoods death do you have this?
I would love to unravel this riddle of the Marmadukes three that I have been trying to do for a year or so maybe you hold even a slight clue so that it can be unravelled .I had contact with someone this week who told me that some Toogoods moved to the Isle of Wight in the early 1700s.
Hope to hear from you Bonnie.

Hi Graham I have quite a lot of info on the Worthy family in Boldre and Brockenhurst from 1798 onwards also a little on Sparks aka. Wing and worthy.I would be most interested to know what you have found out maybe we could fill in the gaps. The only main bit that I am stuck on is from 1760 to 1798 and from 1731 back.the only thing I have seen is a recorded birth for a Marmaduke Wothy in Plymouth his father was Thomas Edwin Worthy of 7 Lambshay Hill. This doesnt mean he was any relation of course as there are quite a few Marmadukes in Somerset as you may know in Curry Rivel but the one I am trying to find was I believe married to someone called Elizabeth Monk in Brockenhurst circa 1731.I hope this is some help.
