Hi Liz,

Yes, I am. Charlotte's sister Evelyn, who came to the U.S. with her on the Lusitania, is my great grandmother. Evelyn was my paternal grandmother's mother, but she died young and my grandmother was adopted so our family history has a number of holes in it, but the Jenkins family largely settled in upstate New York, around the Catskill Mountain area. I never met Charlotte, but I did visit her old farm several years ago, where my grandmother was born.

P.S. My grandmother has all sorts of memories and documents related to Charlotte, and it just occurred to me that after my grandfather's funeral in Walton, NY, we stopped briefly by her farm to poke around. On the phone with my grandmother now, and she's telling me Charlotte's son went to Cornell University, although I don't know him. There are also a number of family members not too far from me in Massachusetts.

Hi there. I know this is incredibly random, but I'm Evelyn Jenkins' great-grandson. I just did a random google search for family history and found this thread. My paternal grandmother was Evelyn's daughter, and that whole part of the family settled in upstate New York. I live outside of Boston now, and Gloria (the grandmother) is living the good life down in Florida. I bet she has a lot of information you'd be interested in, and of course I'd be fascinated to learn what both of you know! I just created an account on this site to respond here, but am unfamiliar with how it works. Let me know if you'd like to contact me offline and we'll work something out. :-)

Best,
Aaron Clark
