Hi Linda,

Yes, we are related. I'm a descendant of William John JACKSON. Sarah Ann was his sister. And Joseph JACKSON & Mary RICHARDSON are also my great great grandparents.  ;)

Yes, in the census of 1841 ..... no Sarah!
That is why I thought that the mother of these children had died and Charles married a Sarah.
But I also couldn't find a marriage between a Charles WHITE and a Sarah.
Also haven't found a Sarah WHITE in census of 1841 with another family in the area ..... that she had might visit at that time.

So I was hoping that the Parish records would give me the answer .....

Thanks to "lizdb" who gave me the link to SEAX .... I'm going to e-mail them if they can help.

Essex / Willingale Spain: White family
« on: Saturday 24 April 10 16:41 BST (UK)  »
I'm researching the WHITE family from Willingale Spain .....

Charles WHITE and Sarah (surname not known).
Children:
- Charles (1832)
- Hannah Charlotte (1834)
- Ararat James (1835)
- Drusilla (1836) -----> married George LEFEVRE

- Albert (1843)
- Matilda (1845)
- Henry Thomas (1847)
- Frederick William (1848)
- Walter Edward (1850)

Charles WHITE was a poulterer!

I have the feeling that Sarah might have been Charles's second wife as there is a space of 7 years between Drusilla & Albert.

As Willingale Spain was just a small village in that time and they did have their own church. Would the records of this Parish be available for research somewhere on-line ..... ?
Sarah was from Willingale Doe ..... (according the census)

Any idea's to find out more about them would be very appreciated.

Regards,
Miranda

Hi Twiglets,

I had a quick look and it looks like your Elizabeth JACKSON is from de Kendal area. I found a marriage of the two:

Quote
Marriages Dec 1868
-------------------------------------------------
AIREY  William     Kendal  10b 1038
JACKSON  Elizabeth     Kendal  10b 1038

May be it's a good idea to order the certificate.
Info that can be usefull is "residence at the time of marriage", "father's name and surname" and "profession of father". It always has helped me to get on with my research. With that info you certainly will find them both in Census of 1861.

Good Luck!

Have replied your message.

We do have a connection. Sarah Ann JACKSON is the sister of my great-granddad William John JACKSON.
She did marry a John RICHARDSON.

I have John's parents as Isaac RICHARDSON and Agnes RICHARDSON.

Hello

I know a little about this family ...........

Mark Goldbold and Charlotte Crickmore had 7 children.
Sadly 6 of them died very young.
Lydia, their daughter: died just a few days after birth.

Hello Judy,

I didn't get a proper answer too from Ancestry. One of those standard e-mails that every one gets and which doesn't make any sense.

I'm very disappointed......  :(  and angry  >:(

I had hoped so much to find my Richardson's on the census of 1851.

James Richardson took over a farm in Brackenber before the census of 1861 but from who. I had hoped to find out with the census and locate his father and siblings ....... Aarrgghh!
