Ireland Resources / Jane (Shea) Wilton

I have completed the research on John Robert Wilton and his family. Thank you all. Now I am hoping to find information about his parents. They are Lt John Wilton and his wife Jane nee Shae. Married June 1,1806, Rathkael, Limerick, Ireland. Their children are Ruth, Jane and John Robert. I have the children's families for several generations. I have Jane's widow pension (which got handed down to her daughter when Jane died in 1854) Jane was 64 when she died so her birth date would be about 1790.  John was with the 53rd (Shopshire) regiment of Foot when they married. I have most of his postings before he died August 1820. He is buried in Bangalore, India. Hoping to learn who the parent of John and Jane Wilton are. Bear with me, I'm a feeble ole lady! Not feeble minded though, lol. Peedee.

Trying to locate any information about Jane Shea. She married Lt. John Wilton June 1,1806 in Rathkale, Limeric, Ireland. They later had three children, Jane, Ruth and John Robert. I have all the info on the children, it's the mother that I would like to know more about. I do have her death info but not when and where she was born and who her parents were. Thanks, Peedee

The only death notification I found was for Lewis Wilton in a Bellfast paper. Where do I look for oiher papers?

In the 1861 census showing Major John Robert Wilton's family, two of the children were missing. I have recently found out why. While John was serving in St. Helier, Jersey, in 1860, son Lewis died from meningitis May, 1860, age three years, six months. His sister Margaret died from tuberculosis in October that year, at the age of fourteen years, six months. Whew! I did it!

Jane Wilton applied for the Widow's Pension in August 1821, then had to prove she was the wife of Lt. John Wilton of 53rd Regiment who died at Banganlone 20th August, 1820. The curator who married them (June 1, 1806) sent the information needed.  Can't locate if she received the pension.
