Thomas Alexander owned much of Clonglash outside of Buncrana where my ancestors, the Bradleys lived. Reference to him can be found in Burke's Peerage. I believe his son inherited the property and he died without issue.

Hi Rathmore,
I'm familiar with that particular site. I knew five of William and Unity's nine children. Mary Anne was my maternal grandmother.
By the way, my father was from Knocknagree, just up the road from Rathmore.

My Great grandmother was Winifred (Unity) Bradley who lived in Clonglash and died in 1951 at the age of 103 years. I remember her from when I was a youngster living in Derry and would visit Clonglash on a regular basis, first by train and later by bus. I think I must be one of a diminishing number who knew someone who was alive during the Famine.
