My great grandfather was born in lowick, England.  His name was Thomas Hogg.  His parents were Ambrose and Eleanor.  They had 3 sons, Thomas, William and George.  My great grandfather Thomas worked in the coal mines and then joined the cold stream guards.  He emigrated with his wife Rhoda, and their 3 sons, to Canada in 1923.

Hi
I was just searching family history and found your post.  My great great grandfather Ambrose Hogg and his wife Eleanor had 2 sons born in Berwick on Tweed.  My great grandfathers name was Thomas Hogg and his brothers name was William.  Tom Hogg worked in the coal mines and then went into the cold stream guards until he was wounded in 1914.  Him and his wife Rhoda Frazer with their 3 sons emigrated to canada in 1923.  Look forward to hearing from you, tom.
