Many thanks, Zefiro for your precise translation of this document.

Good to know what Pieter was up to in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Hi

My 3 times great grandfather, Pieter Josephus Dominicus de SOMER, a shopkeeper, appears to have been in trouble with the authorities in 's-Hertogenbosch in May 1847.  This offence was: Inspection, calibration and patent infringement.  I have downloaded a few pages from the Brabant Historich Informatie Centrum website, but I am unable to actually understand what he was guilty of as a shopkeeper.  The access # is 24, and the inventory # is 21.  Roll # 31.

This is his first offence - but not his last.

Thank you . . . cmatt

Zefiro

Thank you sincerely for the great sleuthing and uncovering all the above information.

So now I have just gone back another generation in my Dutch family tree.

Appreciate all the help and information I have been given.

Hi,
I was wondering if someone is able to find baptism and/or death/burial records for my 6 times great grandfather, abovenamed, please.  The marriage record has his birth in Maastricht.

He was apparently a serving officer in the Dutch military, and married his wife on 6 June 1746 in the RC Church in Nieuwstraat in Breda.  He was underage at the time of his marriage to wife Catharina HAMEL.  His children were all baptised in Breda (1747-1754) - though first daughter born in Meerle, Belgium in 1745, or so I have been led to believe.

I have the baptism and burial records for wife Catharina in Breda, but do not have such for Franciscus.

Any help would be most appreciated.  Thank you.

I am researching my 3 times great grandmother, Jane CASKEY (married name).  She married Paul CASKEY in about 1810/1811 in Coleraine.  No record of her marriage exists.  But a newspaper notice in "The Coleraine Chronicle" of 26 November 1870 has a Death entry:  "Caskey - At Camm, on the 20th inst., Jane, wife of Mr Paul Caskey, age 80 years."

I have seen a number of family trees which have Jane as one of the daughters of Hugh BELLAS and Elizabeth KING.  I have not found any records to confirm this.

Is anyone able to help, please?

Chris

The information I would like to find would be:-

Where was Joseph in the 1911 Ireland Census?
Did Joseph and Rebecca have any children?
Did Joseph and his wife perhaps emigrate?  If so, where to?
And finally, what are the dates of death of both Joseph and Rebecca?

Joseph is the only sibling of my grandfather, of which I have not been able to trace to the end.
