Isle of Man / Re: Onchan burial
« on: Sunday 12 May 13 09:58 BST (UK)  »
Thanks, I lost track after I was on maternity leave with my first child! I will make a note, although it's a pity there's no markers.

My direct relative, who was Isabella's daughter, died very young. Hence we know very little about our Isle of Man side. It doesn't make it easy when so many people have the same surname!

Thanks for all your help though!

Much appreciated!

It's been a few years since I was last searching for my Isabella Corlett  in Onchan (kids have kept me busy!!) Now I have some free time I was hoping to finally try to locate her burial place.

Voirrey M - you said that ther was a Manx BB website where people had offered to help but I can't now find this website - can you help at all?

Thanks

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for the pointers. I've had a look at the Ancestry link so I'll follow that one up and see what I find.

The other link though, appears to be for Woodlawn Cemetery in New York??? Am I looking at the wrong thing?

Thanks again,

Fiona

Canada / Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario

Hi,

After many years of researching and having my fingers crossed, I've just found the death record and burial note for a relative who emigrated from Manchester, England to Canada.

She was called Eveline Moore (nee Berwick) and died on 16 September 1937 and is buried in Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario.

My next crusade is to get a photo of the grave for my mother, who has wondered what had happened to her great aunt all these years.

As I too am in England, I can't go myself and I don't really know where to start. How can I find out her grave reference and is ther any way of getting a photo(even at a cost)?

Any help gratefully received!!

Thanks

Can anyone tell me where to start?

I am trying to find somewhere/someone who could take a photo of a grave for me in Schuylkill, Pennsylvania.

I know that he is buried in St Joseph's Cemetery in Ashland but have no idea how to get a photo. I'm in Manchester, England - needless to say I can't go myself!!

If anyone can point me in a good direction, I'd be very grateful!!

Thanks

London and Middlesex / Re: Abney Park Cemetery Photo?

Hi,

I've been told it is (by another relative who visited once not too long ago) and have been told that there is a headstone. She only died in 1964 and the last time I know someone visited was about 3 years ago.
