I would contact the Standesamt (Registry Office) in Weitnau as everyone is required to register their residency where they live and update it when they move.  As you are not a direct descendant, they will not provide you with death records (less than 30 years), but they should be able to tell you if they are still living there.

Thank you Eileen for the link.

Hi there
As the couple married in England, do you perhaps have the certificate and any idea of his profession?
Are you aware that they had a daughter born in the same year of marriage?

There are only a couple of Fritz Kranemanns listed in the records that Ancestry have.

BUT for the years 2001 and 2003 a telephone directory entry for Beryl and Fritz Kranemann in Weitnau. That's in Bavaria. Sadly, no full entry for street and number.

It's a starting point at least...

Thanks cockney rebel … the 2001 & 2003 info is much appreciated. Unfortunate that the street and number are not available.

Have you looked at freebmd after their marriage for childrens births.  I won't disclose information as any children would hopefully still be living

Beryl mentioned as a cousin on obit for Olive Heaps

Thanks rosie99.... Yes I have looked for births after marriage and also seen the newspaper.

Hoping this request for a look-up (if possible) doesn't infringe on any RootsChat T's & C's.

My aunt Beryl emigrated to Germany with her husband Fritz Kranemann sometime after 1955.
I never new her as she had left the UK some years before I was born.

My late father never spoke of his sister, (my aunt), for reasons unknown to me, and sadly as no family relatives who could shed any light on this are still alive (as far as I know) I have hit a brick wall so to speak.

I have no knowledge of where they settled in Germany, so I wonder if any member with access to such sources, could have a look at and share any details from any German Phone Book Directories/Indexes, for Fritz Kranemann and Beryl Kranemann.

I completely understand if this request isn't possible, but I thought it worth a try.
Fingers crossed.

Thank you "arthurk" for the links...they will keep me busy for a while, and "shanreagh" for your own personal comments. Much appreciated.

Thank you "arthurk" and "shanreagh" for your replies.

I've never heard of "Intussusception"... would never have found that out.

Is there a a specific web site where causes of death are listed/detailed for the 1800's.... like an indexed list perhaps ?

So sad to here it would have been "an agonisingly painful way to die".

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / 1867 Death Certificate - Cause of Death ?

Please can anyone help with the cause of death from the attached image.

I can make out the "6 days" but the actual cause is not so easy for me to interpret.
Its not a good copy unfortunately.

Over to any experts out there. Many thanks.

Shropshire / Re: Cruck Meole - "Railway Cottages" circa 1901

Thanks mazi.
The head of the family in 1901, Henry, was a "Railway Platelayer".
However by 1903 the family had relocated to Shrewsbury. (Henry was then a "Railway Clerk" and by 1911 he was a "Brewer").

Thanks rosie99.

Ethel Beddoes - RG13 / 2533 / 66 / 15 (Household Schedule Entry No. 87).

I currently don't have any further Census info other than "No. 1 Railway Cottages" previous schedule entry 86, "School House" schedule entry 88, and "Cruck Meole Mills" schedule entry 91. Remaining adjacent entries state "Cruck Meole".

Unfortunately I don't have the enumerators route.
