Hi, since this was posted I have set up a project which identifies the various casualties from WW1 who worked for the GWR. You can see and read more at http://www.flickr.com/photos/gwr_casualties/sets/

It's taken me a while and I'm still tweaking it.  Where there is no photo I have still included every casualty mentioned from all the magazines so that you can look up individual names.  I am proud to say that the project has been recognised by the NRM and the Imperial War museum and there are links to it from both websites as well as others. I hope that the project is of some help, please spread the word!

My great, great aunt and her family [the Hewetts] lived at 22 Currie St! I regularly check googlemaps as well to see if the place is still there.
