He was born 20 April 1902 and was buried 24 February 1876 so my genealogy software makes him 74. Thanks anyway.

Going back over my old records I find the only source I have for this burial was from the old IGI and a now defunct Rootsweb download. It seems to be able to cite this burial properly, I need to look here:-

Burial registers Date:1813-1983
Creator:Parish of Eastbourne St Mary
Repository:East Sussex Record Office
ESRO reference:PAR 309/1/5Level

Can anybody help please?
TIA

Thank you anyway. I now realise, having his birthday 4 Jun 1865, he wasn't around for the 1939 register. I suspect that maybe one day to find him in a paupers grave somewhere.

For many years I have searched for my GGfather's death. I previously assumed it was between 1917 and 1921 because I couldn't find him on the 21 census. Now I am thinking it may have been later and he somehow slipped through the 21 net. My last known date fro him was 1917 when his military record had him living next door but one to his brother at 17 St Mary's Cottages, Old Town Eastbourne. Today I found this record on FreeBMD:-
Deaths Jun 1941
Weston    James    68    Eastbourne    2b   173
The age doesn't match up but can anybody help with this in any way?
TIA
Norm

Further, I found this greyed out reference today:-

Henry Culshaw in the

Record details
Name   Henry Culshaw
Death Age   age
Record Type   Record Type

Is this a coroner's report?
