Family History Beginners Board / Re: Doole / Dowall
« on: Thursday 20 March 14 12:00 GMT (UK)  »
Thank you Monica. I have come this far, because of all the help received  from others kind enough to help me in my searches and sharing their information. When i started my tree i had very little to work with, as no one is left to ask questions.
The Margaret Dule/Dale living in the U.S. in 1910 could be my relative, only my Margaret parent's were both born in Ireland. Makes it difficult when names are changed.
Many thanks for taking the time to help me.

Debra

Family History Beginners Board / Doole / Dowall

I'm searching for any information for Margaret Doole born July 6 1881 Ford Street, Sorn Ayrshire, Scotland. Parent's are James Doole and Helen Potts.
Margaret is on the 1891 Scotland Census living at 73 Broomland Paisley Scotland with her parent's and siblings. I can't find her on the 1901 Census or a death registration for her.
Margaret might of went by Margaret Dowall, as i have found other cases where my Dolol's have changed their name to Dowall. There is a Margaret Dowell born July 1881 Scotland on the 1911 Canada Census at District: Kootenay, Sub district Slocan Riding, Place of Habitation: Nakusp, Province British Columbia,  County Canada, listed as being single Occupation Employee.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Debra

Hi Monica
I was in touch with a member on Genes Reunited, who also had a Christian Kinnear in his family tree, born around the same time as mine. He has proof that Thomas Kinnear and Margaret Chambers are her parent's. Thomas Kinnear  and Lucretia Anderson might be my Christian's  parents, but i can't find a birth or death registration  for her. This is the only Thomas Kinnear i could find from Kinloch Fife.
I have hit quite a few brick walls in my tree.
