Hi Maxine
Sorry I have been long winded, I did go to Sale but found nothing new on the 1901 census so I bought a voucher pressed all the right keys and that didn't bring up the right info so I have been waiting for support to contact me. Sylvia Darbyshire nee Robinson living in Baguley seems to the right one, she would be my grandmothers cousin, but I cannot find Philip whether he was away for the night or had died who knows at this stage. I did managed to confirm what I knew about the family, as in my teens I played table tennis with the youngest ( who I believe is in Oz ) I really don't want to put names on here as I don't think it is fair without thier approval
bye
Alan
the farm in question I have been in and have a photo

Hi
Over the couple of days I have been researching the Darbyshire best I can on the internet, I have noticed that the majority of the spellings are Derbyshire, even your Philip b 1874 is spelt De on the 1881 census (Family Search) that seems to tie in with the marriage to Sylvia Robinson 1894 although there are 2 Philip Derbyshires who Married in the same quarter in Barton on Irwell in which Stretford was part of. The Derbyshires of Stretford lived at Wellington Farm and were hauliers. I have found a Sylvia Derbyshire on the 1901 census  but no mention of Philip, living in Bauguley, which is not far from Alrincham in fact All the places that have been mentioned on these postings are close. tomorrow I will go to the Family history in Sale and see if I can find anything further

HI
Reading about these Darbyshire has awakened my interest in this side of my family I have always known there was a distant connection to the Darbyshire's. Sylvia Robinson of Moore St Stretford married phillip Darybshire ( probably of Ashton on Mersey ) in 1894. If anyone has more details I would be please to hear from them
