Dublin / Pullen's of Dublin

Hi, I'm trying to find information on the Pullen's.  My husbands father was Tom (Thomas) Pullen born 1920 to John and Catherine Pullen (nee Murphy) who lived at 105 Ringsend Park Road, Ringsend.  This is where it all stops.  I think the grandfather was also called John and we think it was him who received a certificate on vellum for saving lives in the liffey.  Thomas (1920) had brothers called Robert, Raymond, Kit (Christopher) and a sister called Margaret.  All of them resided in Ringsend.  Any information that you can give would be very much appreciated.  We believe that the Pullen's originated in Brixham but I have no way of proving that at the moment because we are lost in the Irish Connection.  Thomas (1920) came to Birmingham when he was 15.  We know most of the brothers worked on the liffey.  There is a story that one of the Pullen's was the first to sail a big sailing ship up the liffey, but again i can't find anything on this either.

Hi, I am looking for information on the Cartwright Family of Birmingham.  I have managed to go back to 1807 when Joseph Cartwright was born he was a wire worker and married Mary born 1815.  They had four children Joseph born 1841, Sarah born 1843, Thomas born 1846 ( i think he married Ruth born 1846)  and Mary born 1848. Joseph married Marie or Mary born 1843 she was prussian, she died some time between 1891 and 1901 they had Marie born 1863, Amelia born 1864, Frederick born 1867, Elizabeth born 1868, Joseph born 1870, Thomas born 1872 , Lydia bon 1874, Arthur (my great grandfather) born 1883, Gertrude born 1884 and Frank born 1886. The family trade was by then silversmiths in birmingham. Joseph married Agnes born 1869 and had Doris born 1898 and Florence born 1900.  Arthur married Elizabeth Law born 1880 and had Archibald my grandad in 1906. I believe they also had a daughter named Mary or Marie but there are no records of her, my mother believes she died at a young age. I am not sure what happended to Arthur as Elizabeth remarried Lewis Risbrook (or Rissbrook) - Any info anyone can give would be wonderful.  Are any of these names appearing in your family trees?  I have no idea who married who and what the female surnames where before they married into the cartwright family. I have some addressess 258 Park Road, 389 Park Road, 58 Hill Street, 2, Court 22 Benacres Street. If any of this means anything to you please get in touch

CARTWRIGHT Joseph age 34 Wire Worker/Dealer could be in Market Hale Ward, Birmingham, or All Saints Parish or possibly St Martins, but was in Market Hale Ward in 1861 then at 58 Hill Street. Married to Mary? If possible to look up in 1851 as well that would be great.  May possibly show infant son (also Joseph born in 1841 , but not sure of exact month so may not be showing.
