Sorry, good point,I can only assume it's IWM London, as the address on the quote is that.
I'm not entirely sure whether all the quotes go through there for all of the Imperial war museums??
Can you tell from the link in my OP that it is London and not the others?
Chris

It's actually £78, I forgot the VAT.
Can anyone help please, I'll happily pay for your time.
I just think £78 is extortionate for a couple of photos and emailing them to me.
I don't mind paying my way, and paying for the time of the photographer, just think it's too much.
Many thanks

Chris

Hi everyone
I got a quote back for £65 to photograph the badge.
It's a lot.
Does anyone live near, or is going to the IWM that could photograph this badge for me please?
I will be most grateful.
Thank you

Chris

Hi
Thank you for your reply.
I'm aware of what the badge looks like, it's this specific one at the museum I would like to see, I collect them, and all the variants of it, and i would like to see this particular one to see if it's another variation.
Many thanks

Chris

Hello
Coming back to my thread.
Would anyone be able to go to the IWM and possibly photograph the item in the OP please?
I've just been quoted by the IWM to have it photographed, it's really expensive.
I hope someone can help.
Many thanks

Chris

Hello good people of the forum.
Does anyone live near the IWM and could possibly photograph a badge they have in their collection please?
It's this one...

I'm doing a private project on the FIDF badges.
I will happily reimburse any costs if someone can do it, also pay for their time.
A photograph front and back (if possible) of the badge and card it's on would be great.
I will be most grateful if someone could.
Best wishes all

Chris

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Is this word 'formerly'?

Hi,

I think that the word is "Signally" - used to put emphasis on the information or instructions that follow.

Istrice
Excellent, thank you Istrice, I think you may have hit the nail on the head.
And well done to the forum members who suggested signal related words.
Thank you all for your time.
