Thanks Goldie61 for info I have not seen
A young lady surnamed Poynton supplied my sister with husbands
named Meare from Hugh Meare 1555 back to Gilbert de Mere 1090
Hugh was father of Jean Meare 1575 who married Ranalphus Poynton
and the start of my tree
Never found a Poynton before him

If any one interested in the Meare ancestory send a message

I have traced Ranalphus Poynton b.1573 married Jane Meare
son Ranalphus Randell Poynton b.1595
His son Johannis Poynton b.1621
His son Meare Poynton b.1667
Thereafter names of descendents are Phillip b.1708
Thomas b.1753 then William b.1802 then Thomas b. 1825

then William b.1863 then William b 1910 (my Grandfather.)

So strange names seem to be a thing for those years

Regards Don
