Hello gpixie
Did you find the information that you required?

I live quite close to Lausanne. Although I haven't had any experience of family history research in Switzerland I could possibly give you a hand. Certainly I could help you obtain certificates etc...

Sorry Connie, I can't find any trace of them...

(I did come across an article in the Northampton Mercury of 16 March 1839 which might be of interest: 'Ann Collingridge, charged with stealing a quantity of wearing apparel, at Brackley, the property of Wm. Collingridge [her brother].')

There was a George COLLINGRIDGE who died in Brackley in 1856

...and, HMS Rattler, launched in 1862 and wrecked in 1868, is possibly the next boat on the list.

6
... and the fourth ship is possibly HMS Ocean built in 1862...

The second ship could be the first HMS Implacable -  launched in 1795 as the French ship Duguay-Trouin and captured by the British in 1805. Renamed Implacable, she was scuttled in 1949.
