At present I am thinking that andrew married to bridget is my great great grandfather john mcintees brother. We only suspect as births are similar and on johns marriage certificate was an andrew mackintee as a witness. I am sure my cousin who knows more than me has info on their time in service. John did go in later in life and it is that record you sent. We are not sure what happened as his address was correct but from his marriage certificate it has his dob as 1864 and the time in service dob as 1868.this is were it goes cold as the only family members of pure mcintee are andrew as witness and father john on wedding certificate,  on here it has the father as deceased and a labourer.  We have come across a bridget before but are not sure. I will have a look at the address s in that street if I can access them as we let our subscription slide this yr. I will be in touch but my mums just been rushed into hospital so may take me little while . Thanks for your help I will definitely be in touch Dee

On john mcintees wedding certificate it had andrew mackintee as a witness we are wondering if he was johns brother, as we know nothing of him previously to his marriage ... not even his birth. This could possibly be Bridgets dad or even andrew n john could be her uncles. There is a definite family connection with the mcintee name. It would be interesting to look at the census street list n see if anymore mcintees lived on owen street, a few lived on greenrow greenhill. Maybe we could look at owen st n see. Be interesting to find out. I do know johns dad was a john aswell n deceased at the time of john jnrs wedding which off the top of my head was 1885

Hi , my family the Mcintee settled in Swansea, greenhill, greenrow. They were Roman Catholics.  We however are stuck about any information before 1885 on the head John Mcintee. He was bn 1864 , this according to death , marriage and censuses. His father was also John. John bn 1864 married mary owens in 1885 and on the marriage certificate says his father was now deceased. It also said john lived at old road, no one has ever heard of it. My uncle who has now passed said he thought they came from Mayo Ireland but don t know why he thought this . We cannot find any births for him ot where he was between 1864 to 1885. Some of the family changed surnames to Murray later on , again no idea why. Hope you can help we been going in circles for years .Dee John was a dock labourer.
