Thanks for that Barbara.  I have the military record for Charles Miles - he was hospitalised in 1922 diagnosed with TB and "proceeded to Sanatorium for treatment"".  Although his family lived in Preston, I found a death registration for a Charles Miles in Lancaster (1922) with correct age.  I am trying to confirm if this death is 'my' Charles Miles.

Does anyone know if there was a sanatorium for TB in Lancaster in the 1920's?

I know Owen's children were Alexander (my grandfather), Thomas, Andrew, John, Lizzie and William. I am just starting to explore them so thanks very much for the William information. My main goal was to find Owen and his parents which had me stumped for some time as the name was changed from Moran to Morran by his wife after his death in 1893 (I don't know why). I now know Owen was also called Andrew. I am 99% sure your information on his parents is correct but I still can't find his birth details which should be around 1858-1861. I have lots to do to follow up your earlier leads. Cheers.

This is a long shot but I have read your posts with interest.  James Joseph Fullalove and Ethel Cartmell were my grandparents.  Hopefully you are still registered with Rootschat.
