Staffordshire / Re: Arthur J. Jefferson father of Stan Laurel
« on: Saturday 21 December 13 18:04 GMT (UK) »After A. J. Jefferson's first wife died he remarried, Mrs Venetia Matilda ROBINSON My GGrandmother, there is little history we have on Arthur Jefferson, just a couple of Photos of the family. We have the dates of the marriage and place of marriage, 1912 at St. George’s Hanover Square, London.Hello Nicolass. I was very interested to learn that you are the ggrandaughter of Venetia, as I have been trying to trace her roots for a long time, during my research on Arthur Jefferson's early life. I think we may well be able to help each other, as I have photos and images which you probably don't know about. Just to show I'm on the level, wasn't Venetia's son a pilot, who was killed at a very young age? As I have only just registered, I have not had time to find out I can contact you in person.
Thanks
B.S. I don't why people call Laurel's dad Arthur J. Jefferson. He didn't have a middle name. The 'J' stands for Jefferson, so in effect someone is trying to brand him as Arthur Jefferson Jefferson. DOH!
