A number of Trezise males have had DNA tests and so far they are all related to a common ancestor within the timescales of written records.

So if you have a direct blood ancestor with a Trezise surname in your tree it is very likely you are related in some way to everyone else with such a Trezise connection.

The society for one name studies also have a discounted rate for DNA tests.

The only trouble is you have to be a member in the first place to find out what latest prices are.

Does anyone on here know the latest prices?

Bit chicken and egg, could be a good deal if you might want to join but you don't know until you join.

Does anyone have experience of the Find my past offer with Family tree DNA?

I think you have to pay £10 a month for a twelve month membership to qualify?

Do you have to pay to send the test back?

I assume you get the results on line and I know there are other sites you can post the result to once you have them so a wider audience can see if they have a match.

Does the price vary from one country to another?
Or is it just the exchange rate on the dollar that varies?

Dear Lab822,

If you are on Facebook search for Trezise One Name Group.
It is a closed group so you will need to ask to join and wait to be approved.
It is for those of us who have the Trezise name somewhere in our direct family line.

I am sure they will be able to answer your questions.

Great Hunting,  Sloop.

Hi Andarah,
Would love to get in touch as your husband is my sixth cousin once removed.
I think i have contacted Palfamily before as I used to correspond with his mother.
Graylight's wife is also a more distant relative as we now believe we have traced the Trezise link back to St Just. We believe Nicholas Trezise father of Elizabeth was born in St Just. Her brother Nicholas was a Burgess in Bristol and my ggggg grandfather.
Would love to hear from any of the others related to this branch also.
