Lucy, there may be no connection but my ancestors lived in Jeynes Row in Tewkesbury and that was named after the builder. Jeynes Row is still there and I have some pictures of it but cannot remember the full name of the builder. Ann

I have a Nathan Patmore married Eliza Wylds 1875 in Gt Munden.
Nathan was born 26 April 1848 in Westmill, died 3 Nov 1938 Gt Munden.
Eliza Wylds born 1853 Gt Munden died 19th Jan 1940 Gt Munden. Not certain but I think Eliza's father ran the local inn 'The Plough'

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Charles Patmore/Emily Heard/??? Patmore

The Wyld that signed as a witness could well be correct as I am tracing Patmores also and have Wylds related to the Patmores via marriage. I have Charles Frederick Wylds b. dec qtr 1898 in Mile End and his father (I presume b. in Gt Munden) which is the area my Patmores came from. Could the child have been living in Gt Munden at the time of the census? I can't access all my information properly as I have just updated my genealogy program and need to find my way around it as everything has moved. Ann Patmore

Thank you Janan. the two at the bottom of the list are my GT. gt. grandparents. They finally ended up in Birmingham and are on the 1881 census as Burrs! The others are obviously related but I need to sort them out.
I know that a John Burrup was under sherriff of Glos. at one point and his son died as a missionary having been due to meet up with Dr. Livingstone the missionary explorer in Africa.
PS if I can be of any help with lookups in Leics. do let me know.

Hi Janan, I would be grateful to see what is on the 1841  census, I did look a couple of years ago when I was still new to all this and it meant nothing then but I have been trying to find the time to get to Glos. record office but a 4 yr old grandson means that planning goes out of the window most of the time (and his parents now tell me that no 2 grandchild is on the way) so I guess that means that everything goes to the back boiler again. LOL

Thanks Fred, I had got those few already but will look up the other urls you gave me. I did find my G>G>Grandfather and family listed as Burrs in Birmingham on the 1881 census. I guess the guy taking the information obviously thought that Joseph was burping when he gave his name!!!LOL. Ann

::)Hi everyone, have only just joined this list after seeing all the comments about the  competition!
I am currently researching the name BURRUP from Castle Moreton and Dymoke area. I have details of a John Burrup in the workhouse in Worcestershire and a John Burrup who was a sheriff of Gloucester I believe but do not yet know how they tie in but I am keeping the facts on record just in case I strike lucky.
I know that a group of Burrup relatives did go to the US with the Mormons.
