Hi

I have a connecting family of Lavers but they are not directly related however if you contact this lady, I understand she has been researching the Rod Laver family of Central Queensland and possibly answer your question.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: "Ganecott" Park Lane, Aintree,(?) Liverpool
« on: Sunday 10 June 07 12:55 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Red

The persons name are:
1. Letitia Emma McCann formerly Skelton born 1866 West Derby (mother-1st NOK)
2. John Arnold McCann 1897 (brother -2nd NOK)
in 1901 census the family was living at Seaforth Lanc.

His original Army Paters shows his 1st NOK as his mother and she was living at "Ganecott' Park Lane.  Several years later an amendment shows  his brother JOhn Arnold McCann became his 1st NOK and changed his address from  2 Tattersall Rd Letherland to "Ganecott' Park Lane.

Hi
Could some one tell me anything about the above address which I found on some Army papers of a relative.

It appears it is the address of this persons mother and a few years become the address of his brother after 1919.

Was it associated with merchant seamen?

Any information would be welcome with thanks

Could some one please advise me which suburb would I  find Gloucester Road Newcastle in the 1891 census.    I have a death for a Elizabeth Jane Storey in 1894 and her cousin WJ Smith was present at her death and I am trying to link in the Smith family to the Storey/Story/Dobinson/Carr family in Newcastle.

Elizabeth Jane Storey (b:1862) is the daughter of Edward Storey deceased.  The family were residing at Elswick Row Elswick in 1881 census, St Andrews in 1871 & 1861.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: 1851 Census Liverpool - Lookup

Thanks Carol

Cannot find a death or marriage for either Jacob and Elizabeth.  I have tried using year of birth, location of birth and first name only to try and locate but have not been successful due to numbers.

Hoping perhaps someone may have an inspiration on a hand writing interpretation that I have not tried. As you would have seen I made corrections to the surname which was so far out of recognition of the actual name.

Thanks again for your support.

Cheers

Thanks Heywood,

I have Isabella up until 1871 on the census and have ordered a death certificate that I believe is her in 1880.  It is Thomas that I am up against the brickwall.
