So sad that thats where he ended but so did an awful lot of others,. his brother George Ernest Beattie is even more difficult to trace, i have him born c1908/1909 but no closer than that ... i'll keep digging and see what i can come up with,.  with your help the family is coming back together, next one is Gr.Uncle John who went to Kelloe in Co.Durham in England, he died in Kelloe 9th. January 1942 aged 68 so i have something to go on,.  a multitude of thanks to all you are helping to keep me up late most nights ....

Hello all,. New to this forum which a friend highly recommended so here goes,. stuck finding info on a Great Uncle George Beattie born Newtownards 22nd. July 1879 and later emigrated to the US via Canad,. the family grave stone in Movilla Cemetery states he died in an accident in Manhattan but no further details .. i have the family in the 1930 US Census but thats it,.

Arrived 1924 from Canada - Looks like Great Uncle George was one of those who took the cheap crossing to Canada then walked across the border to the USA - Also Mary may have been pregnant enroute to Canada ....
