My name is John Paul Campion
I live 2 miles from Mountrath
My current parish is Castletown
Historically Castletown and Camross were single parish called Offerlane
All of this would be in the barony of Upperwoods
The majority of our Campions going back to John Campion b.1850(My Great Grandfather) are buried in Camross Cemetery and have been listed earlier in this thread. His father is also buried in the Camross but grave is not marked anymore as is in old cemetery.
John Campion had children called John, Thomas, James Joseph(My Grandfather), Jeremiah, Edmund, Maggie, Elizabeth and Bridget
Possible link to your Thomas and James(but these are common names anyway)
Original family home in Clonin, Mountrath(local cemetery would be Camross), John Campion b. 1850 moved to Rushin, Mountrath in 1897 but still buried in Camross(he was a county councillor). His son Tom b.1908 buried in Mountrath(mentioned in thread earlier as co. councillor)
