Hi Many thanks for your replies, my father has discovered that the burials took place in John and Mary's home parish of Killannin a parish in Moycullen, Galway, and that we found the grave in the old cemetery. They lived in a tiny village called Garrynagry, there was only about 7 houses.
They lived in Abbeygate Street, Galway City, a place were a lot of people from Killannin moved to, and that their house is now Cookes restaurant.
Mary D'Arcy's maiden name was Walsh, so would be greatful if anyone knows anything about the Walsh family from Killannin or indeed the D'Arcy's.
