Thank you for such an informative answer!  I'm sort of new to all this and didn't understand the parameters of ScotlandsDNA.  You've been most helpful!!

My brother had the Chromo 2 DNA test done with Scotland's DNA several months ago.  The results are in, however I don't know how to interpret the markers.  Is there a way to upload the results to GEDmatch.com or is Scotland'sDNA in the process of doing a similar interpretive "match" of our results?   Thank you!  He/we are  S1b-S145 Pretani  Teresa

Canada Lookup Request / Louise Truth Perry
« on: Friday 18 October 13 04:34 BST (UK)  »
I have been trying to find what happened to my great aunt, Louise Truth Perry, b. May 26, 1891 in Oakland, California.  Her parents were Solomon George Parry(b 1856 in Wales) and Louisa Cowan (b. 1865 in England).  Louisa died in 1904 and Solomon was unable to care for Louise Truth and her 3 siblings.  It is likely that Louise Truth went to live with a relative, Richard Deacon and his wife, Mary Morrison McBeath in Saskatchewan.  According to the 1906 Canada Census, a "Louisa Peary" is listed as the 15 year old "adopted daughter", born in the United States.  I have yet to establish the relationship between the Cowan and Deacon families, however, Louisa Cowan's mother was Eleanor Flower and it seems the Flower and Deacon families may have been the link.  After the 1906 Canada Census, I have been unable to trace the whereabouts of Louise Truth.  Her brother, Loyal Girven Perry was my grandfather and he rarely spoke of his family, only to say his mother had passed away when he was young and the family was "farmed out".  The youngest sibling, Lela Margarette went to live with Louisa's sister Agnes Cowan Snider, in California.  I've also been unable to find any trace of the other brother, Arthur Llewellyn Parry.  Any insight you may have in this family would be most appreciated!!  Thank you for your time,
Teresa McIntire Pretlow
