Well, I was close ... in places  :)

Wonderful. Many thanks, Zefiro. I checked the paper map, and found the next village to be Grossenritte - now on the outskirts of Kassel.

Now to trace both parents further.
Thanks again. Bryan.

Thank you, gc1, but wrong parish I'm afraid ... Besse is well over 100km NE.

I think this is the birth/bpt of Anna Elisabetha Kuhn, daughter of Hermann Kuhn labourer, 28 Mar 1733, at Besse, Hessen (my 5xgt grandmother).
I'd be grateful for a full transcription, please, so that I can find mother's name, and also relate some of the script to other entries I have found. Thank you. Bryan.

Sorry Rowan, circumstances have made it necessary for me to change ISP, hence a new website address.

https://www.sugarbakers.co.uk

So the page you were looking for is  ... www.sugarbakers.co.uk/loc-earles.html ... but also check the database as I've since added more info from the later censuses.
Thank you for thinking of the website, and I'll be happy to add anything further.

Hans Bahlow's book "German Names" does not include Quinsel, it does, however, include Quensell ...

" Quensell ... 'a bulbous vessel'? "

... so, sorry, no help with location.

You might find this interesting ... www.mawer.clara.net/ppanayi.html ... The Settlement of Germans in Britain during the Nineteenth Century.

Also, my website regarding the sugarbakers mentioned by KGarrad is at www.mawer.clara.net

Keith ... you might want to contact the archivist at Boughton House to see if records of a governess are available.
