On page two (2) of this post it has a map find Sanderson st follow it up from Queens rd at the top righthand you will see (sch) that is the school, when did they live in live there this street was unusual as it only had house one side as it faced the side elevation of Abindon st at the top and Goglan st at the bottom, as kids we used to play postmans knock on the doors and run down the alleyway opposite the street.

Your welcome, it was a really nice area to live in at the time, new houses were built but it is a very different place now, very deprived in some areas but its not the location but the people who make it was it is.

The houses in barwick street were terraced, walk in off street into the front room, houses were well kept and very clean old but not run down, there are still houses in failsworth that are exactly the same and still occupied now.Logde st Sanderson st and surrounding streets had a lot of bomb damage whole or half streets in some areas , I think they were private landlords for most not sure but I think as it was the corporation took them over and it was just easier to clear them all and offer people news houses in Heywood Hyde Wythenshawe and others.
