The Irish Glass Bottle Company in Ringsend was one of the biggest employers in that area.  It was based on Ringsend Road,  It was closed down in the 1980s.  As a child we used to love watching the glass blower and the bottles when they were red hot.  It had a lovely art deco frontage which remains.

Family History Beginners Board / Nolan/Lacy - Ringsend
« on: Thursday 22 August 13 09:55 BST (UK)  »
This is my first post so I hope I have got the format right.

I am interested in the Lacy/Nolan side of my family.   Bridgid Lacy was born on 18th December 1879 and lived at 11 Bridge Street, Ringsend, she was baptised in St Mary's Haddington Road.  Patrick Nolan was born in 1880 and was a Coalporter.  They married in 1898 or 1899.  In the 1901 census they were living in Sir John Rogerson Quay.  I am interested in Bridgid's parents.  Thomas Lacy and Mary Anne Loughlin.  I have no further information on Patrick Nolan other than he had a brothers Francis (b 1882) and Thomas (b1878) .  Would be so grateful for any help.
